Mr Antony Ellis has over 25 years commercial experience in a variety of sectors including the Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas industry. Earlier in his career, Ellis was the General Manager, Contracts & Procurement, and was responsible for all contracting and procurement activities for Shell’s operations in Nigeria (SPDC, SNEPCO and SNG). Prior to moving to Nigeria, he was based in The Hague, supporting the development of Shell’s Deepwater projects in the Gulf of Mexico and Malaysia and the Conventional Oil and Gas projects across EMEA. He also worked in the strategy and M&A Department of Shell.

Originally trained as a mechanical engineer at the Britannia Royal Naval College and Commando Training Centre Royal Marines before completing 10 years of military service. He holds an M.Sc. in Leadership and MCIPS; a professional supply chain accreditation. He has sponsored numerous local content initiatives and was instrumental to the development of Shell’s approach to supplier management and growing local content needs.
