Thompson Tatua is a mechanical engineer with experience spanning over two decades in Rig operations and management. His expertise spans supply chain, projects, stakeholders and contract management.

His experience cuts across Business Development, Government Affairs, Supply Chain and Marketing, and has been responsible for overseeing in-country pre-rig requirements and set-up of structures for new country operations. In the course of his career, he functioned in various capacities at Seadrill and Transocean including Rig Manager of varying assets, Divisions Operations Engineer, Operations Manager, and Project Engineer.

Thompson is an alumnus of the University of Teesside Middlesbrough and the University of Portsmouth where he bagged an HNC and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has acquired numerous training certifications from institutions such as MIT and INSEAD. He is a member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria, a certified Project Manager, Financial Reporter, and IWCF Level 4-certified.
