Still Earth Holdings is proud to announce our support of the G.A.S. Fellowship Award 2023. As part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility, we are thrilled to be a sponsor of this prestigious program. The fellowship offers three funded residencies to West Africa-based practitioners in various creative fields, providing them with a unique opportunity to further develop their talents and explore their artistic endeavours.
We are particularly excited about this year’s edition, which welcomes applications from emerging practitioners whose practice is rooted in Materiality, Ecology, Food, Environment, and History in the Present. By supporting these artists, we hope to encourage innovative thinking and creative solutions that address pressing environmental and social issues.
The G.A.S. Fellowship Award 2023 will take place between September 2023 and March 2024, with two residencies in Lagos and one at the G.A.S. Ecology Green Farm in Jebu. These 6–8-week residencies will provide a nurturing environment for artists to immerse themselves in their work and engage with the local community.
We believe that investing in the arts and supporting creative individuals is essential for fostering cultural growth and positive change. Through our partnership with the G.A.S. Foundation and Yinka Shonibare Foundation, we aim to contribute to the development of the arts in West Africa and provide opportunities for artists to thrive.
The deadline for applications is 13th August 2023. We encourage all eligible practitioners to apply and take advantage of this incredible opportunity. Further details and the application process can be found via the following link.
We would like to express our gratitude to the G.A.S. and Y.S.F. Residency Patrons for their collaboration in making this fellowship possible. Together, we can support and empower artists to make a meaningful impact through their creative practice.
